Mike Johnson is the proud husband of Sandi and the father of Joshua and Hannah. He has been in ministry for 25 years as a youth minister, worship leader, children’s director, associate minister, and preaching minister. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University. In his spare time, Mike enjoys reading a good book, watching ESPN, walking, or keeping up with his beloved Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves. He and his family joined the Mandarin Family in 2018, and they can’t wait to see what God does next!

Gail Coles, Office Manager

Gail Coles was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She has been a member of the Church of Christ most of her adult life. She attended Florida State University where she received a B.S. degree in Business Administration and went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration. After 28 years with IBM in various roles, Gail has been serving the Mandarin Church of Christ for the past 4 years. Not only is she a mother of 2 sons and grandmother to 2, she is also a breast cancer survivor!

Dakota Thornton, Youth Minister

Dakota Thornton has served in Family and Youth Ministry roles for 5 years. He has a degree in Biblical Studies with a focus in Family and Youth Ministry from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX. Born in New Mexico, he has lived all of his adult life in Texas until moving here to Jacksonville, FL. Dakota enjoys reading, movies, games, but most of all exploring the outdoors with his wife and daughter. He is very excited to work with the church here at Mandarin and find out how God can work through him as a part of this family.
